Weekend in Whistler

Anyone need a little vacation or staycation?

Whistler is one of our favourites because, for us, it is a two hour drive and extremely dog friendly! It’s the perfect weekend away with the pups.

Joelle and Maya had lots of fun strolling the village, going on hikes, and relaxing in our beautiful hotel room at Crystal Lodge.

Here are my top Whistler picks!

Where To Stay

We stayed at the Crystal Lodge, and it was perfect. The staff was so friendly, and the location was super central. We walked out the doors and were right in the heart of the village.

When we got to the room the staff had left the cutest doggy packs for the pups with blankets, bowls, and snacks. The couch also pulled out into the perfect bed for the dogs and the staff gave us extra dog bedding so they would be comfy!

What To Do

Scandinave Spa

The most picturesque spa I’ve ever been to and so relaxing. Make sure you make a reservation for the bath access to enjoy the beautiful outdoor pool and hot tubs. The eucalyptus steam bath is my personal pick.

See Wildlife

Spot some wildlife (from a safe, respectable distance please.) Fall is such a wonderful time to see wildlife in Whistler. Be sure to use a wildlife guide to ensure you get the best experience!

Doggo Hikes

There are so many beautiful, dog friendly, hikes and waterfalls to see in and around Whistler. We loved Brandywine Falls. Make sure you keep your pup leashed unless stated otherwise!

Peak 2 Peak

I think this is a given for anyone visiting Whistler. The Peak 2 Peak is beautiful and a must do if you’re visiting.

Canine Cove

If you want to let the dogs run around and play, Canine Cove is the place. Located at Lost Lake, it is the perfect off-leash dog area in Whistler. If you have a shy pup make sure you go first thing as it tends to get busy!

Stroll the Village

Last but certainly not least, stroll through Whistler Village. There are so many pet friendly stores. Visit a boutique or go to Aritzia. There is so much shopping available.

Where To Eat

Il Caminetto

Italian food and a HUGE wine list. This is the perfect date night restaurant.

Araxi

If you are in the mood for the best oyster bar, this is for you. This restaurant is a bit fancier so make sure you dress appropriately and enjoy the amazing Pacific Northwest cuisine.

Hunter Gather

This was our favorite dog friendly eatery in Whistler. They have a patio and amazing pub food for a more casual night.

We had such a perfect weekend with Crystal Lodge and highly recommend a visit to Whistler anytime throughout the year. It is such a unique experience.

Hopefully you were able to get some inspo and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Instagram ♡

Charlie
